Berry-Blasted Oatmeal, Fun with Chiles, and A Trip To Bologna (By Way of L.A.)
Hey there gang,
Sorry for the lack of an e-mail last week. I didn't have enough posts to tell you about and didn't want to clog up your inbox for no reason. But this week there's lots to tell you about...
Starting with what you see above, that's clams cooked with sausages, tomatoes, and CHILES in a post I called...
* Fun with Chiles. Yes I finally conquered my fears and started playing around with fresnos, habaneros, and the like...
* If heat isn't really your thing, you may enjoy my slightly sweet Berry-Blasted Oatmeal. It's basically Bananas Foster with berries stirred into your oatmeal.
* Then, a most decadent treat, RICOTTA STIRRED INTO YOUR PASTA. Ever tried it? Here I do it with a sausage ragu and it was a big hit. (Someone in the comments already made it twice and raved.)
* My friend Toby lived in Bologna for a summer so I went with him to a new Bolognese restaurant in downtown L.A. called Rossoblu. Here's my post all about it.
* Finally, Everybody Loves Romano Beans. (What are Romano beans? You'll have to click to find out.)
Until next time....
Your friend,
Adam (The Amateur Gourmet)
