Frito Pie, Rigatoni with Sausage and Broccolini, and Campari Sorbet
Well hey there gang,
Happy Halloween! I just sent Craig to Von's for candy and told him not to buy too much and he came back with two giant bags of candy that we're definitely going to eat all by ourselves. Ah well, I guess that's how it goes when you're too old to trick-or-treat.
Looks like this newsletter is now an every two weeks sort of deal, which works for me! So here's what you've missed on the blog:
* Hosted a dinner party for some familiar faces (see above pic) and served an EPIC FRITO PIE that was a really big hit. See how I did in my post "Love Is Like A Frito Pie." (That's a Dolly Parton reference, by the way... not sure if everyone got that.)
* Once again, I made pasta: this time with rigatoni, sausage, and broccolini. Here's a pic in case you need encouragement to click:
* Finally, today I posted a recipe for sorbet and I know sorbet isn't that exciting, but this one is: Ottolenghi's Grapefruit, Blood Orange, and Campari Sorbet from his new cookbook Sweet.
OK, that's all for this week, folks. Have a great night giving out candy or, more likely, eating all of the candy yourselves. That's what we'll be doing!
Your friend,
Adam (The Amateur Gourmet)
