Happy almost Thanksgiving!
Lunch Therapy had a huge week last week. It was the #2 food podcast in the United States, which isn't too shabby!
So thank you, thank you so much for all of the support.
This week we have a totally inappropriate episode for Thanksgiving. Karley Sciortino is the creator of the blog Slutever, which is also a show on Vice. She's also the Breathless columnist for Vogue Magazine.
We talk about everything including the relationship between food and sex, how Karley differentiated from her food-loving family, and the journey she's gone on with her body image (it involves TJ Maxx and TCBY). We also cover her time living as a freegan in a London squat, why she refuses to eat tongue, and the most surprising thing she's encountered involving food and sex (it made me fall out of my chair laughing).

And, as always, if you can leave a review that'd be so helpful. Especially now that the podcast has reached the masses, a lot of people are like "who is this annoying gay guy?" and leaving one-star reviews... so I need you, my base, to protect me!!! If you can just click it and rate it five stars, that's all it takes. It would mean the world to me.
So guess what?
I went to get a flu shot on Wednesday and found out that I had the flu. It was kind of funny; I sat in the chair and they took my temperature as a preliminary matter and the nurse was like: "You have a fever." And the doctor was like: "I can't give you a flu shot! Go home and rest."
So I spent the week on the couch, finally marathoning Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I made it through Season 2, which was so good). I ate a lot of soup, including this ramen from Tsujita:
I was truly sick as a dog and my dog was right there by my side, looking after me:
The good news is that today -- after five days of coughing and aching and whining -- I feel a lot better, which is good because tomorrow we're flying to Florida to be with my family for Thanksgiving.
And speaking of Thanksgiving, did you know I have a whole archive of Thanksgiving posts on my blog for you to click through for ideas? Here's my Cranberry Sauce 101. Here's a chocolate pumpkin cheesecake. Here's a post telling you to skip the white meat and to braise the dark meat so you don't have dry turkey. I was so cheeky back then!
Ok, folks, that's all for this week.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Until next time....
Adam (the "please give me five-stars on Apple Podcasts!" guy)
