Dirty Chai Earthquake Cookies
Plus: Very Crispy Pierogi, Pork Lollipops, and My Thoughts on The Menu.
Hey everyone,
I’m all abuzz over these dirty chai earthquake cookies that I made for a dinner party this past weekend. Abuzz because (a) they’re impossible to stop eating and (b) they have a tablespoon of real espresso in them. But worry not! That espresso is distributed over 24 cookies so, really, you’ll just get a little whiff of espresso… but enough to render these cookies super complex and memorable.
The recipe is by Susan Spungen and it’s normally behind a paywall on NYT Cooking but because you and I are friends, I just blogged the recipe here. Let me know if you make them! I’ve been snacking on them all week.
And speaking of recycling food that I made for dinner parties, remember those pierogi that I blogged about on Monday?
