It looks like an amazing pie filling to me! You could heat it gently and put a scoop of ice cream on top, serve it with cookies, or perhaps also use it as a base for a fruit jam.

Sort of like a less appetizing, yet far more delicious fruit cocktail. I've just been eyeing my rhubarb this week, thinking about making my seasonal batch of jam... I think I'll have to give this a try as well!

i always look for innovative techniques and one of the tricks i often use is throwing in the seeds and the pod of a vanilla bean when browning butter. i learned that trick from you (i believe it was in your recipe for a nectarine-blackberry crisp) ... it makes the kitchen smell so good and adds a really nice flavor.

Ive actually done this sm with rhubarb omg it basically makes the ideal chunky jam w/o all the sugar!!!!
