It looks like an amazing pie filling to me! You could heat it gently and put a scoop of ice cream on top, serve it with cookies, or perhaps also use it as a base for a fruit jam.
Sort of like a less appetizing, yet far more delicious fruit cocktail. I've just been eyeing my rhubarb this week, thinking about making my seasonal batch of jam... I think I'll have to give this a try as well!
i always look for innovative techniques and one of the tricks i often use is throwing in the seeds and the pod of a vanilla bean when browning butter. i learned that trick from you (i believe it was in your recipe for a nectarine-blackberry crisp) ... it makes the kitchen smell so good and adds a really nice flavor.
I want a Fruit Sludge Summer T-shirt right about now
Me too!
Maybe Jessica can get on that :-)
“Oh my God, Jessica, that’s such a good idea.”

Fruit méludge (mash-up of sludge and melange)?
I like it!
Brilliant idea! Brilliant! Thank you, Adam!
Inventing a new preservation method in 2026 is seriously impressive. Props from the Ministry!
Thank you for the laugh, as always, Adam! And the recipe inspiration...love the name!
My mouth is ACTUALLY watering
