When the fish eyeball pie hit the table, I was a goner. In 2023, my husband and I flew from New York to Copenhagen to celebrate the sale of my first novel with dinner at what was then considered the world’s best restaurant, Noma. Only the morning of the big dinner, we woke up with food poisoning.
