July Fourth BBQ Ideas, A Day Late
Featuring: Blackberry Cobbler, Colorful Coleslaw, and Rob's Smash Burgers. Plus: 50% off My Newsletter This Weekend!
Hey everyone,
I’ve never been famous for my timeliness when it comes to food content. My Thanksgiving posts almost always come after-the-fact and if you want to know how to cook Christmas dinner, you should probably look at my post from last year’s December 26th dispatch.
So here’s my July 4th BBQ post, a day late. I feel bad and so to make it up to you I’m going to give you an opportunity to read it and all of my Thursday/Friday newsletters for 50% off for the entire next year.
That’s right this weekend and this weekend only — okay, through Monday in case you only see this Monday morning — I’m offering a 50% discount on my newsletter!
Click here to get it while you can! This not only gets you two newsletters a week, it also gets you access to my full archives.
You’ll enjoy those archives next week when I’m taking a brief vacation — I’m headed to Provincetown tomorrow for a week with the same group of friends we go with every year (only Craig can’t go because he’s headed to Vancouver to direct a TV show). So no newsletters next week but I’ll be back to tell you all about it on July 15th.
Okay, where was I? Ah, yes, July 4th.
We went to a BBQ at our friends’ Rob and Kath’s yesterday in their lovely backyard.
(Yes that’s two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Wesley Morris on the upper right!)
I brought two things: this scrumptious blackberry cobbler…
And also a colorful, improvised coleslaw. (Don’t ask me about my coleslaw.)
