When I got back from my book tour, I was looking forward to cooking at home again. Pasta! Pies! Salads! Okay, I did make a salad the other day for lunch with nectarines, apricots, plums, plus avocado, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, red onion, and Feta:
I also used fennel fronds in case you’re picking that image apart. It was delightful!
But as things go, I had this other thing to contend with known as “friends.” And these friends wanted to see “me.” And for the past three nights, I’ve had dinner at “restaurants.” Sorry for all the air quotes.
