The Greenest Pasta Salad Ever

A long time ago, in a universe far far away, I lived in Atlanta, I’d just started my food blog, when I discovered Ina Garten’s recipe for pasta, pesto, and peas. Back then, it was a revelation; now I look at it and cringe at the 1 1/4 cups of mayonnaise. Mayonnaise with pesto? Okay, I guess it makes sense for a pasta salad, but that still seems like a lot.
Anyway, that combo — pasta + pesto + peas — has always stayed with me as a very compelling idea. Last week, you saw me mix asparagus and sugar-snap peas with hand-pounded pesto. This week we’re channeling Ina, minus the mayo.
