Hey friends,
I’ve got some exciting news. If you know anything about me, you know that I love two things more than anything else: (1) cooking and (2) Broadway musicals. Well! My friend Gideon Glick (a Tony-nominee who I first saw in Spring Awakening) and I came up with a cookbook concept during quarantine called GIVE MY SWISS CHARDS TO BROADWAY. Every recipe is a pun on a Broadway show — Sunday in the Pork with George, The Sound of Moussaka, Bundts on this Island — and we pitched it to my cookbook agent, Alison Fargis, who fell in love with it. Not only that, we were lucky enough to convince renowned Broadway illustrator Justin “Squigs” Robertson to join the team.
And guess what? We just sold the book to Countryman Press and it’ll be in your hands in the fall of 2022. We’re so excited to work on this! I’ve been testing lots of recipes already (this is my first book of original recipes) and I’m having such a blast. So, if you love Broadway (or even if you don’t), get ready for a funny, delicious cookbook coming your way a year from this fall.
In other news, I made a video for you about my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, by Griffith and Cheryl Day. Here it is on YouTube. Be sure to Subscribe to my channel to get all the video updates:
And if you love this recipe as much as I do, you’ll flip out over my Lunch Therapy guest this upcoming Monday: Cheryl Day herself, the author of the recipe. So be sure to subscribe to the podcast so you don’t miss it.
Anyway… wanted to share my good news with you.
Here’s to lots of cooking and lots of show tunes!
Your friend,
Adam
Congrats! Can't wait to see the book!
