The best tahini is found at Arab speciality markets in unmarked plastic tubs. Here in Nashville, the Kurdish stores have them. It's also where you find the best dates and fresh khubz.
i love hot honey. if you're looking something that won't blow your head off, mike's hot honey is great. heatonist (of "hot ones" fame) also makes a hot honey called nugget honey - it's actually quite delicious but the flavor from the peppers they use is extracted by way of gin, so pick up or avoid based on your feelings about gin. hot honey is great on pepperoni pizza, but i love it on any kind of fried chicken, or on blueberry pancakes or dutch babies, and especially drizzled over toast that has been spread with peanut butter, topped with sliced bananas, and some salt. it's a great addition to homemade bbq sauce as well.
If you like Soom tahini, try their chocolate tahini. It’s sinfully good.
Co-signed! Highly addictive and so good drizzled on vanilla ice cream...
