I love the idea of trying to use up the whole bag of kind of a speciality ingredient like dried cherries! Too often I clean out my pantry and find little bits and pieces left over from some baking project that is past it's "best by" date and I cry a little.
My go-to chicken pot pie recipe is Bradley Ogden”s from Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. I double the quantity for the wonderful herb crust and use any excess to make leaves to decorate the top.
Ina’s recipe is fabulous too. The filling is off the charts chickeny good and leftovers are great on their own with good biscuits. I need to try SK’s dough recipe and I love your addition of the parsley.
Emeril chicken pot pie. I've used the recipe in his cookbook Emeril's TV Dinner since 1998

I like the pot pie recipe from Andrew Carmellini's American Flavor. The crust is like a cracker, so it is always nice and crisp and doesn't get soggy!
