well, add me to the list of people shocked you've never had pot pie! glad you finally got to try some and hope you enjoyed it. the "goo" is the best part, and too many people are out here making "pot pie" and it's really chicken soup with a lid. no. this is my go-to recipe if you ever want to try making your own:
the goo is on point. i do usually end up cooking my goo quite a bit longer to get it nice and thick. (she says 1-2 minutes, but it should be more like 10-12. maybe it's a typo.) anyway, great with thanksgiving leftovers too. (turkey, turkey stock, and whatever leftover veg you have.)
was also just talking about fish in cracker crumbs with my partner the other night - a childhood staple (he was born & raised in MA, me in RI). my dad would always sprinkle some mysterious and blazing hot fluorescent orange chinese oil on his.
I'm glad you enjoyed the pot pie and the cheese, which look wonderful. Just one small note - it's Ukraine, not the Ukraine, which is like saying "the France" or "the India".

I fully concur with the rabbit hole of Pyrex comment. I laughed out loud, but it was a guilty laugh. God I love a good Pyrex bowl.
