Every week I read your post and add more and more little dots to my map of LA restaurants. I’ll need to vacation for a month to hit a fraction of them!
i always microwave corn anymore - it's like baking bacon, i can't go back to my old ways and all the mess and babysitting. esp in the case of corn, not only the pot to wash but also waiting for all that water to boil!
ETA: still on the hunt for pasta bowls...i had ones from ikea that i absolutely loved, but a couple got chipped over the years and of course now they're discontinued so i couldn't replace them. plus, i wanted some that were plain white which i fully admit is 100% For The Gram. i ended up getting the project52 ones from target which, i thought would be the dream but i kind of hate them. it's more like a plate with sides, so sometimes you chase food around the "corners" of the bowl...and most annoyingly they don't stack properly and i'm always waiting for the day i hear a huge crash in my kitchen when the stack finally topples. why is it the simpler something you want is, the hard it is to find?
Loved talking pie with you, Adam!
