Hey everyone,
We interrupt our regular Thursday broadcast to announce the official Food Person Book Tour!
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that my publisher (AA Knopf) is sending me around the country to meet all of you, to sign books, and to eat good food (well the last part is my own personal agenda). If I’m coming to a city near you, you better get your tickets now before they sell out!
I’m doing two amazing New York events: one with Cup of Jo’s Joanna Goddard on May 20th, at 6 PM at the Brooklyn Heights Public Library via Books Are Magic…
And one on May 21st at 6 PM with my old pal, Smitten Kitchen’s Deb Perelman, at Archestratus, one of my favorite cookbook stores in the country.
Then I’m headed back to L.A. for the first time since I said goodbye in August, 2023.
The first event will be at Skylight Books on Monday June 2nd at 7 PM with my hilarious, irreverent, food pal Chelsea Peretti (tickets and more info to come):
Then, on Thursday June 5th I’ll be at Now Serving with one of my favorite food friends (and friends in general), Ben Mims.

From there, I’ll be in San Francisco on June 6th at Omnivore Books where I’ll try not to buy everything in the store! (Celia Stack, the owner, is an old friend who’s been on Lunch Therapy.)
And on June 7th, I’ll be in Corte Madera at Book Passage with Kate Leahy, who I first met on her terrific podcast Everything Cookbooks. Should be a great event!
Then I’m off to Portland and Vivenne Books on June 8th… where should I eat dinner in Portland?!?! (Ticket info TK.)
Then it’s over to Seattle on Monday June 9th for an event at Elliott Bay Books and then on Wednesday June 11th I’ll be in Bellingham at Village Books, such a beloved bookstore — I’ve done a lot of writing there!
Not only will you get to meet me there, but you’ll get to meet Craig’s entire family. (If they don’t sell out every ticket with their multiple book clubs.)
From Bellingham, I’m headed to East Troy, Wisconsin for the “Reads and Feeds” series at InkWell Books on June 12th at 6 PM (more tickets and info to come).
On August 2nd, I’ll be in Sharon, Connecticut for the Page to Plate event (more info to come).
On August 6th, I’ll be at East End Books in Provincetown with one of my best friends, Jonathan Parks-Ramage, who has his own novel coming out around the same time!

On August 18th, I’ll be in Madison, Connecticut for a “Debut Author Luncheon” via RJ Julia at the Madison Beach Hotel; and on Saturday September 13th I’ll be in Jackson, Mississippi for the Mississippi Book Festival.
And that my friends concludes the book tour! Wow, I feel like Evita.
In case you’re wondering, “where’s Florida?” (since my family lives there): don’t worry, that’s coming around Thanksgiving. And there may be a stop in Atlanta too.
Can’t wait to meet you (finally!) in person. Here’s the Book Tour info with all the links on my website:
And if you have any suggestions for what/where to eat in each of the cities, sound off in the comments:
Usually I sign off with a “until next time” but now I’ll sign off with…
Until we meet in person….
Your pal,
Adam
I live down the street from Omnivore and it's dangerous. I frequently have to literally avert my eyes and not make eye contact when I walk by. Celia has connected me with some of my favorite antique books and I'm forever grateful. My credit cards, not so much.
Congrats! Next stop - Melbourne Australia please! We have good coffee and food I promise.
