I lost 75 lbs with WW and a rigorous exercise program and have kept it off for 1.5 years now. You can do it but be smart and lose slowly to keep it off. It IS possible.

Good luck with your fitness goal!

I was in a similar spot last year after too much travel (and associated yummy meals) and not enough activity. I got back to normal with a return to regular routines plus a little (or a lot) more mindfulness. Hope your plan works out as well.

As you well know, yummy meals can be healthy and healthy meals can be yummy.

I'd recommend hikes in Kenneth Hahn State Park, Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, and Griffith Park. Maybe Runyon Canyon but I haven't been there since 2020 when it got pandemic regulated.
